Police Investigate Murder of Man Found in Kabale Forest

Police in Kabale District are investigating the murder of a man in his late 20s, whose body was discovered in Keirungu village, Birambo parish, Maziba sub-county.
The deceased, identified as Ahereza Eliot, a resident of Kasirima village in Maziba parish, was found lying on his back with a rope tied to his right hand and a knife resting on his chest. Turyasingura Edinavance, who had gone to the forest to collect firewood, made the grim discovery.
Kigezi Region Police Spokesperson Elly Maate confirmed that the Officer-in-Charge of Maziba Police Station has registered the case as murder. The body was taken to Kabale Regional Referral Hospital mortuary for examination.
Investigations are ongoing, but no arrests have been made as police work to trace the suspects.
