Police Rescue 4-Month-Old Baby Stolen in Mbarara

Police in Mbarara City North Division, have successfully tracked and recovered a four-month-old baby boy, Musika Ayan.
According to Samson Kasasira the Rwizi region police spokesperson, Musika, is the son of Namatovu Sifa and Bombo Bruhan, residents of Rwebihuro Cell, Rwimigina Ward, Mbarara City.
Kasasira has told Radio5 that the baby had been abducted on December 9, 2024, around 11:00 am.
According to reports, the suspect, Aineamani Mackline, a 22-year-old woman, tricked the baby’s caretaker into buying her yogurt at Koranorya Market, where the mother works as a vendor. When the caretaker returned, the suspect had vanished with the child.
He says Police tracked Aineamani to Kagaga Parish, Igarama Subcounty, in Isingiro District, where she had allegedly taken the baby to present as her own to her husband.
The suspect was apprehended, and the baby has since been reunited with his mother.
Authorities have urged the public to remain vigilant and monitor the movements of their children and those around them to prevent similar incidents.
